A novel idea, isn't it? Though I would assume that the novelty will wear off rather quickly. Regardless, this is the first post, so I'll give it a fair shot.
I, like many of you, am taking this Writing 101 because it is a required class, and there was no way out of it. Don't get me wrong, I love writing as much as the next guy, probably a great deal more than the next guy, but having to do so for a grade really takes all the entertainment value out of it. As for my upcoming expectations, I'm hoping that after being in this class, academically-centric writing won't be as dreadfully boring to me as it currently is. Also, I'm not exactly what you might call an essayist, so that could use some work as well.
